CHECK OUT

Check out time is 10am, unless otherwise agreed upon with Mark or Kate.

Please ensure:

all rubbish is placed in the correct external bins - ie all recycling and organics placed in appropriate bins
any dirty dishes washed and set to dry.
the air conditioning is turned off
the cottage is left clean and tidy.

Please RETURN the keys to the lock box ensuring the doors are locked on departure

Unfortunately we have had to introduce a late check out fee: if you have not pre-arranged a checkout with us, you will be charged a fee of $50 per 30mins if you have not vacated the property by 10am. We must be able to commence cleaning on time to suitably prepare the cottage for the next guest.

Internet and Netflix

Internet – Unlimited WIFI is available for you to use during your stay.

Please use the Barnard Street Guest profile when using Netflix, if you log into your own personal account please be sure to log out after use.

Television

There is a single remote for the TV usually located on the small table near the TV.
All TV functions are controlled from the one remote including access to NetFlix.
To access free to air TV simply use the remote to select TV as the input.
There is no CD or video player available, if bring your own you are welcome to plug it in.

Parking

Off street parking is accessed via a small lane way between 13 & 15 Rosalind Street. Street parking is generally available in front of the house with no time limits in place.

Heating and cooling

There is a Gas Fire in the lounge room. This should not be used due to government changes to gas fire regulations.

There is a a reverse cycle aircon in the lounge. This can effectively heat and cool the entire cottage very quickly, please ensure the reverse cycle is turned off when you are out of the house and on checkout.

Please help yourself to the breakfast and tea and coffee supplies left for your use.

Bins

In order to reduce plastics in the environment we do not use bin liners. Under the kitchen sink you will see the general waste bin, the recycle bin and the green/organics waste. Please empty the house bins in the appropriate wheelie bins in the parking bay behind the house – labelled 110. We will rinse the bins clean for next guests.

The Bendigo Council has recently implemented a green/organic waste bin as part of the regular rubbish and recycle collection. All food and garden wastes go in this bin.

Items for babies/toddlers

The following items should be booked prior to you arrival to ensure they are ready for your use.

Travel cot with mattress protector, fitted sheets and various blankets. Please ensure you follow the instructions for assembly to maintain your child’s safety. Please use the mattress protector provided under the fitted sheet for hygiene reasons.

High chair – assembly instructions provided
Nappy change mat/wipes/disposable bags – please ensure you use your own or our change mat when changing nappies.
Face cloths, large cloths are also available to use for feeding or cleaning up baby/toddler mess.

Please place all used non-disposable items (including change mat, mattress protector, cloths and bedding) in a garbage bag from under the sink and place in the bathroom when departing. This will ensure all items will be laundered and fresh for the next guest.

There are child sized cutlery and plastic dinnerware in the kitchen cupboards/drawers.
A few toys are located on the kitchen sideboard.

If using the spa with children, please be aware of the jets and their location and the main water return (large circular part in bath – this sucks water into it).
